The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your info, and you can unsubscribe anytime. Here are the details, in plain English.

Who we are

AI Training Wheels (getaitrainingwheels.com) is a small online course and free email newsletter run by Matthew Gaumont in the United States. When this page says "we" or "us," it means AI Training Wheels. You can reach us anytime at [email protected].

What we collect

We keep this simple and only collect what we need:

Newsletter signup: your email address, when you join our free daily tip.
Purchases: when you buy the course, the checkout (run by Stripe) collects your name, email, payment details, and billing location. We see your name, email, country or postal code, what you bought, and when. We never see or store your full card number.
Gift purchases: if you buy the course as a gift, the checkout also asks for the recipient's name, the recipient's email, and an optional gift message.
Messages you send us: if you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you write.
Basic technical data: like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles technical details such as your IP address and browser type so it can deliver pages and keep the site secure.

The gift card page lets you type a To, From, and Message to print or share. That happens in your browser only. We don't save it. If you copy the gift link, those words are part of the link itself, so only share it with people you'd show the card to.

Cookies and analytics

Our website doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools, and we don't set any cookies of our own. Our partners (like Stripe on the checkout page, or Cloudflare for security) may use their own cookies or similar technology on their services as described in their privacy policies.

How we use your information

To send you the daily tip you asked for (you can unsubscribe anytime).
To deliver the course you bought, and to help with gifts, like answering a question about a gift's access link.
To answer your questions and fix problems, like access trouble or a double charge.
To keep records we need for taxes, accounting, and preventing fraud.
To understand, in general, how the newsletter is doing (for example, how many people opened a tip) so we can make it better.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

We only share information with the services that help us run things:

Kit (kit.com) sends our newsletter and stores subscriber emails. Kit may also record details like your signup date, your IP address, and whether you opened an email or clicked a link. See Kit's privacy policy.
Stripe and Link handle checkout and payments. Course purchases are processed through Stripe's Managed Payments service, where Link (a Stripe company) acts as the seller of record, so your receipt will say "Sold through Link." Stripe and Link handle your payment details, sales tax, receipts, fraud prevention, and payment support under their own policies. See Stripe's privacy policy and Link's privacy policy.
Cloudflare hosts our website and forwards email sent to our address. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Email: messages to our address are forwarded to and stored in our Google (Gmail) inbox.
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others from fraud or harm.

These companies may store and process information in the United States and other countries.

How long we keep it

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Our email provider may keep a record that you unsubscribed so we don't email you again.
Purchases and gifts: as long as needed to provide the course and for tax and accounting rules (often several years).
Emails to us: as long as needed to help you, then we tidy up.

Your choices

Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of every email. One click and you're out.
See, fix, or delete your information: email [email protected] and we'll help. Some purchase records may need to be kept for legal reasons.
Depending on where you live, you may have extra privacy rights. Just ask and we'll honor them as the law requires.

Children

AI Training Wheels is made for grown-ups. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.

Keeping it safe

We use well-known providers (Kit, Stripe, Cloudflare) with strong security, and our site uses HTTPS. No system is perfect, but we take care with what you share.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll also mention it in the newsletter.
